*Points are included for how well you relate all of the ideas we have discussed in class during the semester to your presented work, your depth of research, creative organization of the presentation, appropriate length and the thoroughness of your paper. You grade will also be based on how well you demonstrate or show how the elements and principles of design are used in the artwork, purpose or theme and style or the style with which the art is closely related.
*Points are included for your explanation of the influences or other artists influences on your piece and artist you are presenting (show slides if possible or give examples in the book of artists whose work is similar). Present information about both the artist and/or the artists medium used in your work. If you check the art section of the North Central Texas College library and look on the internet for RELIABLE sites, you will probably find good source materials to help make your presentation more significant in creating an appreciation for the art you are presenting. Bringing in books and additional images enhances your presentation and using actual books and magazines for research will help.
*Internet art or prints of art by an artist in the textbook are unacceptable as the focal point or subject for this project; however, you may include internet websites as part of your research.
